Ever wondered what someone means when they say, “I’m pulling your leg,” or “He let the cat out of the bag,” in English conversations? Come learn more about common idioms and sayings in English and American culture, and practice these sayings with an English speaker.
By the end of this course, students will know how to:
- Understand common English idioms in others’ speech
- Identify appropriate contexts and types of communication for using idioms and cultural sayings
- Incorporate idioms and cultural sayings into their written and spoken English

Twice/week; 60 minute sessions.
Interactive lessons in groups of 7-10 people
