Join our beginner/intermediate Python class and take your coding skills to the next level as you create your own version of “Flappy Bird” on your own computer!
In this course you will:
Master Python Basics: Whether you’re a beginner or looking to solidify your intermediate skills, this class is perfect for you. Learn fundamental Python concepts like basic data types, conditional statements, functions, loops, and the basics of classes and methods.
Explore Game Development: Discover the world of game development using Python and Turtle/Tkinter libraries. Understand how to create graphics, handle user input, and implement game logic.
Build Flappy Bird from Scratch: Learn step-by-step how to recreate the iconic Flappy Bird game. From designing the game environment to coding the bird’s movement and collision detection, you’ll see your creation come to life.
Experience Hands-On Learning: Get practical experience through guided projects and exercises. Apply what you learn immediately to build a fully functional game.
Receive Expert Guidance: Our experienced instructor will guide you through every stage of development, providing insights and tips to enhance your coding skills.

A basic introductory understanding of Python is recommended but not required. Each student must have a personal computer that can download the free coding environment PyCharm Community Edition (NOT PyCharm Professional): https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/download. Installation guidance will be provided for Python and Turtle libraries
