The Role:

The Director of Education supervises a team of tutors and educational consultants working with students in various roles. Specific duties include the following:

  • Designing admission strategies and multi-year educational roadmaps for students;

  • Coordinating tutors and educational consultants to ensure students meet deadlines and target goals; 

  • Identifying summer programs, internships, etc. to address individual students’ needs;

  • Providing as-needed support to educational consultants through the application process;

  • Communicating with parents and building relationships with schools and summer programs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree + 5 years of managerial experience

  • 30+ hours/week November-January, and 20 hours/week the rest of the year

  • 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience

  • Cross-cultural / international experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pedagogical training

  • Graduate degree + 5-10 years of managerial experience

  • Native (C2) proficiency in Chinese, Russian, Spanish or Ukrainian  (spoken and written)

  • Standardized test preparation experience

  • Educational consulting and/or admissions experience

  • Experience working as part of a remote team
